Mechanical CAD Designer (Revit / AutoCAD / Inventor / SolidWorks)

FixaKitchen is looking for a talented mechanical CAD designer to assist with commercial kitchen extraction systems, stainless-steel fabrication, ventilation systems, ducting and custom equipment.

This is primarily a remote, work-from-home opportunity for someone who can turn sketches, measurements and site photographs into clear, accurate manufacturing information. We welcome strong mechanical designers using Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or comparable professional software—the role is not limited to one CAD package.

Work is allocated on a contract, freelance or part-time basis according to project demand, experience and availability. Compensation is agreed according to the project scope and deliverables.

• Produce accurate manufacturing drawings from sketches, measurements and site photographs.
• Design commercial kitchen extraction and ventilation layouts.
• Create ducting layouts, sheet-metal developments and fabrication drawings.
• Produce clear 2D workshop drawings and practical 3D models.
• Prepare laser-cutting, nesting and fabrication-ready drawing information.
• Assist with commercial equipment layouts and kitchen design coordination.
• Revise drawings accurately following site, workshop or client feedback.
• Maintain organised drawing revisions, dimensions, notes and file outputs.
• Flag missing measurements, clashes or design risks before manufacture.

• Demonstrable mechanical CAD and manufacturing-drawing experience.
• Proficiency in at least one suitable professional CAD platform.
• Able to interpret sketches, measurements, photographs and technical briefs.
• Strong attention to dimensions, tolerances, materials and fabrication detail.
• Able to work independently and meet agreed delivery dates.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Reliable computer, software, internet connection and remote-working setup.
• A portfolio or examples of relevant previous work are strongly preferred.
